For 2011, the BAHA will be offering two new programs for breeders! The first is our Breeders Sweepstakes Program. This program will offer payback in specific classes at certain Regional, National, and International Shows (to be decided). The goal of the BSP is to encourage the breeding of quality show horses. The second program, the Show Gelding Incentive, is put in place to encourage gelding lesser quality stallions and colts. These two programs go hand in hand and are hopefully going to encourage people to show in the BAHA!

Question for the sweepstakes thing (which I LOVE, by the way): by "approved shows" do you mean the halter division at any BAHA show? Including shows that have under saddle components? And my second question is: do the shows that you've held already count, dear? If so, I have nominated horses already If not, watch out! I will have!

These are the shows where stallions/mares can be nominated from: * Denotes a show for purebred only (halter)
Qatar International Arabian Horse Show* Sharjah International Arabian Horse Festival Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship* Middle East Championships Morroccon National Championships
If a horse takes a champion or reserve champion in their age/gender halter class they can be nominated for the program.
I haven't set out a schedule for which shows offer paybacks though. I think all the national events, and maybe just all the national events... haven't decided yet...

The BAHA would like to announce Odeon as the head correspondant for the 2011 season. She'll be taking the reins over and hosting events. I'll lurk in the background to make sure my sweepstakes go as plan for the first season.
