2. Young Event Horse or YEH, are open to horses five years and younger. Four and five year olds may be competing no higher than Pre-Entry.
Pre-Entry is equal to Green As Grass, Tadpole, ect.
Entry is equal to Beginner Novice
Pre-Training is equal to Novice
Training, Preliminary, and Advanced are the same
Training is similar to a one star event (CIC/CCI*)
Preliminary is similar to a two star event (CIC/CCI**)
Advanced is similar to a three or four star event (CIC/CCI***/****)
Suggested age guidelines for each level are:
Pre-Entry minimum age is Four Years
Entry minimum age is Four Years
Pre-Training minimum age is Four Years
Training minimum age is Four Years
Preliminary minimum age is Five Years
Intermediate minimum age is Five Years
Advanced minimum age is Six Years
CCI* minimum age is Five Years
CCI**/CCI***/CCI**** minimum age is Six Years
Entry fees are $100 per horse. Horses are automatically entered in the dressage, CC and show jumping components of their level. Please send checks to Odeon.
